Cath Brinkley

Following an academic career which saw her gain an Honours degree in German and Political Science (UNSW) and a Masters in Defence Studies (UNSW ADFA), Cath was a professional conference organizer for four years before she joined the Australian Public Service in 2002.  Working first with the (then) Department of Transport and Regional Services in grant management, she soon moved into the Office of Transport Security and then over to the Attorney General’s Department where she worked in critical infrastructure protection, emergency management policy, Emergency Management in Remote Indigenous Communities, flood management and pandemic and emergency planning. She left the Department in 2012 to work with the ASRC as a conference manager and took over the reins in 2013 as ASRC Director and Editor-in-Chief of Collaborative Publications.
