Social Media & Extremism

The Australian Security Research Centre invites those involved in security, law enforcement, communications, media, public relations, community development, legal and related industries to participate in a two day forum to discuss:
– Can there be a balance between security and transparency of information the in social networking environment?
– Does social media promote or can it prevent extremism?
– What is the impact of social media on mass media and public opinion forming?
– Is social media the new “propaganda of the deed”?
There will be a Networking Drinks Function on the evening of 25th March at University House, concluding at 7pm.
Forum Registration includes presentations, a Forum Pack, morning and afternoon tea and lunch, the Networking Drinks Function and access to the Forum Presentations on line after the event.
Registration (GST included) is:
Full = $600;
One day (25th or 26th) = $325;
Student (25th or 26th) = $150 per day
(Student excludes Networking Function and Forum Pack).
