George Dionisopoulos
Director & Co-Founder, GRC4

I started life as a Civil Engineer, working over 30 years in leadership roles, specialising in security, compliance & risk management and Government relations who has just recently shifted to the consulting world.

I shifted to project management and was given an opportunity to lead a security and risk operation function. This morphed and took on all levels of security including fraud and law enforcement. This beginning helped formulate the concept of converged security that is part of my DNA and the importance of partnerships and leadership to help in the delivery of a mature security risk management program.

As Head of Security, I have been responsible for leading security risk and compliance initiatives and effective security risk management practices. I was able to embed a security risk management culture into the design, construction, support and operations of data centres.

Specializing in risk assessment, compliance management, and incident response, as well as extensive expertise in creating and maintaining secure environments for diverse clients. Adept at collaborating with stakeholders to tailor security measures to specific organizational needs and has a comprehensive knowledge of industry standards. This coupled with strong leadership and communication skills, ensures effective security strategies that align with regulatory requirements.

I am passionate about staying abreast of emerging threats and technologies to provide cutting-edge security consultancy.

I pride myself on delivering security excellence and helping build the portfolio for the next generation of young security professionals by participating as an active member in ASIS International, The Security Institute and various other security forums.

I am also proud to be the Co-Chair of the Data Sector Group and the Chair of ASIS International NSW.
